Three days training on Applications of Remote Sensing and GIS in Agriculture

Agriculture and Soils Group of NESAC organized a 3 days training on "Applications of Remote Sensing & GIS in Agriculture" for 20 officers (Deputy Project Directors) of Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Meghalaya at NESAC Outreach Facility during 03-05 July, 2019. The programme was sponsored by Meghalaya Agricultural Management & Extension Training Institute (MAMETI). The programme was inaugurated by Shri P.L.N. Raju, Director, NESAC. The programme covered a wide range of topics starting from Basics of Remote Sensing & GIS to Advanced Remote Sensing Techniques for agricultural applications in 9 theory lectures and 7 practical sessions. The valedictory session of the programme was graced by Smt. Aroma M. Lyngdoh, Director (i/C), MAMETI as the Chief Guest and distributed certificates to the Trainees.
