Hindi Pakhwada (Fortnight) was organized at NESAC from 17th September to 4th October, 2024. The event was inaugurated on 17th September by Dr. K.K. Sarma, Group Head of RSAG, NESAC. Dr. Sarma administered the Hindi Diwas oath to all NESAC employees. Shri Shariqe Alam, Controller of Administration, NESAC, read out the message from the Hon’ble Union Home Minister at the inaugural ceremony. Shri Kumar Anand, Administrative Officer, NESAC, briefed everyone about the various competitions planned for the Hindi Fortnight.
Various competitions were organized for all permanent employees, CISF employees and family members of NESAC from September 19, 2024. The competitions held during Pakhwada are Noting/Drafting Competition, Typing Competition, Translation Competition, Antakshari Competition, Poem Recitation Competition, Rajbhasha Quiz Competition, Poem Recitation Competition (For children of NESAC/CISF employees).
The closing ceremony was held on 4th October 2024. Dr. S.P. Aggarwal, Director, NESAC, highlighted the importance of the official language and discussed how the benefits of space technology can be extended to all sections of society by promoting the use of Hindi in disseminating scientific and technical knowledge. He encouraged all officers and employees to use and promote Hindi in their daily work. Dr. Aggarwal also congratulated everyone on the successful organization of Hindi Fortnight 2024 and awarded certificates and prizes to the winners of the various competitions. Shri Kumar Anand, Administrative Officer and Member of the Official Language Implementation Committee, NESAC, gracefully concluded the Hindi Fortnight with a vote of thanks.

A customised two weeks course for the Indo German Development Cooperation funded project “Climate Resilience of Forest Ecosystems, Biodiversity & Adaptive Capacities of Forest Dependent Communities in Tripura” (CFEFLAT) supported by the Tripura Forest Department was organised during 21st April 2025 to 02nd May 2025 by the Forestry & Ecology Division. Twelve officials participated as the first batch of the training programme. The training focussed on the introductory lectures on basics concepts of remote sensing, GIS, image interpretations, map projections and digital image processing with emphasis on hands-on exercises on different aspects of forest cover and land use mapping.
