World Hindi day was celebrated in the centre on 10th January 2019. The programme was Inaugurated by lighting the lamps by Shri P.L.N. Raju, Director, NESAC& also presented his views on Raajbhasha Hindi. As a part of Vishwa Hindi Diwas Shri Avaneesh Shukla, Sr. Administrative Officer delivered a speech and highlighted the growing influence of Hindi in all over the world.Various other programmes like – Poem recitation Competition, Hindi Dictation Competition & Group Discussion 0n ‘Hindi as global Language’ were conducted on 10 January, 2019 wherein most of the staff members actively participated. Prizes were given to the winners and programme concluded with Vote of thanks by Smt. Namita Rani, JHT, NESAC.

A customised two weeks course for the Indo German Development Cooperation funded project “Climate Resilience of Forest Ecosystems, Biodiversity & Adaptive Capacities of Forest Dependent Communities in Tripura” (CFEFLAT) supported by the Tripura Forest Department was organised during 21st April 2025 to 02nd May 2025 by the Forestry & Ecology Division. Twelve officials participated as the first batch of the training programme. The training focussed on the introductory lectures on basics concepts of remote sensing, GIS, image interpretations, map projections and digital image processing with emphasis on hands-on exercises on different aspects of forest cover and land use mapping.
