The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) organized a five days workshop on “Emerging Technologies, Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development” in association with North Eastern Space Applications (NESAC), Shillong and Assam Engineering College (AEC) during March 5-9, 2019 at NESAC Outreach Facility. The purpose of this workshop was to:
- Strengthening of ICT/Innovation skill development
- Entrepreneurial skill development
- Raising the awareness of IPR for economic growth and development
- Incubation for innovation technologies
- Encouragement of entrepreneurial activities in NE region
On the inaugural day, Mr. Aditya Kumar Sinha, Programme Head, C-DAC, Pune welcomed the participants and delivered a talk on ‘Technology Roadmap for
Emerging Future’. Prof. Keya Sengupta, Director-in-Charge, IIM Shillong graced the inaugural session as the Chief Guest. Shri PLN Raju, Director, NESAC attended the session as the Guest of Honour and appreciated the efforts of C-DAC and NESAC for conducting the workshop at NESAC. The Workshop was sponsored by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology Government of India. More than 42 participants from different parts of and India attended workshop. NESAC also conducted two days sessions on the Applications of Machine Learning and Deep Learning followed by hands-on exercises
