A batch of 42 Students and 3 teachers from Sanskriti-The Gurukul school, Guwahati visited NESAC on June 21, 2019. The visit was coordinated by Dr Kasturi Charaborty, Scientist, NESAC along with support of Ms Suranjana Borah, Research Scientist, Shri Sameer and Md. Junaid , JRF from NESAC. The students were given an exposure on the Mars and Moon surface by Ms Ritu Anil Kumar, Scientist, NESAC. A presentation on the basic concepts of remote sensing and GIS was given by Dr Kasturi. Shri Chirag Gupta, Scientist, Sri Sanjay Pandit, Scientist and Sri Kishore Kumar, Project Engineer gave demonstration on Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). The students visited satellite communication facilities and briefly informed about the Telemedicine and Tele-education program by Sri Himangshu, Research Scientist, NESAC. The ISRO-IRNSS program of NESAC was explained to the students by Sri Sumit Rana, Scientist, ISTRAC. The students were motivated and encouraged to contribute in the field of science.
