As a part of the commitment towards Swachhta Bharat Mission, Shri P L N Raju, Director NESAC on 14.06.2021 had flagged off and handed over the manual Tricycle – Rickshaw for collecting household waste (wet and dry separately) to the NESAC Estate Management.
The occasion commenced with the Welcome Speech addressed by Shri P L N Raju, Director NESAC wherein he quoted Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi’s saying “Mahatma Gandhi never compromised on cleanliness. He gave us freedom, and we should give him clean India”. Based on this, Shri P L N Raju briefed the importance of health, hygiene and cleanliness and further explained the main objective of the Tricycle-Rickshaw which was to fulfil a much needed requirement for easy movement of dustbins and also to promote the health and hygiene by preventing human contact with waste thereby enhancing the safety of the safai karamcharis (cleaning staff).
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, gathering of NESAC Staff were restricted. The occasion was witnessed by Shri Avaneesh Shukla, Estate Manager and Shri Aman Kr. Singh, Engineer In-Charge, Construction and Maintenance.
