The MCF station at NESAC, known as MATRIS (MCF Augmented Telemetry & Ranging Infrastructure Shillong) has been inaugurated by Shri S. Somanath, Secretary, Department of Space &Chairman, ISRO on 18th June, 2022 on a virtual mode, in presence of Shri Shantanu Bhatawdekar, Scientific Secretary, ISRO, Shri H. Premananda Shenoy, Director, MCF and Dr. S. P. Aggarwal, Director, NESAC. NESAC has hosted this station for MCF by providing land and other amenities. It will be operational on 24×7 basis for telemetry and ranging operation for communication satellite and NESAC will continue to provide all logistics support to it.
