NESAC organized a one-week special training program on ‘Utilization of EOS-04 Data in Natural Resources Management and Applications’ during May 08-12, 2023. This training attracted a diverse group of twenty nine participants consisting of faculty members, state user, scientists, research scholars etc. The inauguration program was graced by Dr. S. P. Aggarwal, Director, NESAC as the Chief Guest. A total of ten theory classes and four practical sessions were meticulously planned to suit the course requirements. Four distinguished scientists from other ISRO centres were invited to deliver insightful sessions on specialized topics. Shri Raghav Mehra, Scientist from SAC, ISRO, shared valuable knowledge on ‘Introduction to SAR remote sensing’ and ‘Processing of EOS-04 data’. Mrs. S. Hari Priya and Mrs. K. Niharika, Scientists from NRSC, Hyderabad enlightened participants on ‘Overview of EOS-04 and its products’ and ‘SAR polarimetry and its applications’. Shri Ashish Joshi, Scientist from IIRS, Dehradun captivated the participants with his expertise on ‘SAR interferometry and its applications’.
The valedictory program was, held on 12th May 2023, where Dr. Prakash Chauhan, Director, NRSC graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Dr. Kuntala Bhusan, Sr Scientist, Geosciences Division, NESAC served as the Course Director, while Dr. Pradesh Jena, Scientist, Agriculture & Soil Division supported her as the Course Officer.
