19 Delegates from five countries of South East Asia along with officials from North Eastern Regional Institute of Water and Land Management (NERIWALM), Tezpur visited NESAC as a part of their training organized by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Govt. of India through NERIWALM on 30th November 2023. A lecture session was organized for the delegates by Water Resources Division (WRD), NESAC at NESAC Outreach facility. The session was chaired by Dr. Diganta Barman, HOD,WRD and moderated by Shri Ranjit Das, Sr. Scientist, WRD.
Four lectures were delivered by Scientists from different divisions of NESAC on use of geo-spatial technology in water resources management, Hydrological/ hydraulic modeling using geospatial inputs application of geo-spatial technology for agricultural development and emerging technologies for government application etc. A brief presentation on various mobile applications & services developed by NESAC for various states & central govt. departments were also given. The visit concluded with a valedictory function chaired by Director, NESAC.
