Survey of India (SOI), Shillong in collaboration with NESAC organized a workshop on the use ofContinuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) data on 02-02-2024. The workshop was conducted at the NESAC Outreach Facility and was coordinated by Dr. Gopal Sharma, Scientist, Geoscience Division, NESAC. The workshop was attended by few permanent employees of NESAC.
Shri Neelesh Kumar Dwivedi and Shri Amiyo Kumar Rabha, Officer Surveyors from SOI, Shillong gave a detailed presentation on SOI CORS data access, downloading, and correction services. They also gave a demonstration on the configuration of real-time position corrections using CORS in Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers. Dr K K Sarma, Group Head, RSAG NESAC and DPD, NER-DRR chaired the inaugural session. He highlighted the importance of CORS data and expressed gratitude to the SOI for organizing the workshop at NESAC.
