Official Language Orientation Program for Official Language cadre Officials/Personnel (Senior Translation Officer/Junior Translation Officer) of Department of Space/ISRO was successfully organized at NESAC on 04th October, 2024. Dr. S.P. Aggarwal, Director, NESAC addressed the participants and highlighted the role of officers/personnel of Rajbhasha cadre in the successful implementation of the Official Language Policy. Subsequently, Dr. Shankar Kumar, Joint Director (Official Language), Department of Space, Branch Secretariat, New Delhi also briefed the participants about the orientation programme.
In the first session of the program, Dr. Rajnarayan Awasthi, Manager (Official Language) gave an informative and interesting lecture on the topic “Applied Analysis of Translation and Lexicology” and in the second session, Mr. Balendu Sharma Dadhich, Developer Marketing, Microsoft Asia gave an informative and interesting lecture highlighting the possibilities of using Artificial Intelligence in the field of Official Language implementation.
A total of 31 participants from various centres of Department of Space/ISRO& NESAC participated in the programme.

A customised two weeks course for the Indo German Development Cooperation funded project “Climate Resilience of Forest Ecosystems, Biodiversity & Adaptive Capacities of Forest Dependent Communities in Tripura” (CFEFLAT) supported by the Tripura Forest Department was organised during 21st April 2025 to 02nd May 2025 by the Forestry & Ecology Division. Twelve officials participated as the first batch of the training programme. The training focussed on the introductory lectures on basics concepts of remote sensing, GIS, image interpretations, map projections and digital image processing with emphasis on hands-on exercises on different aspects of forest cover and land use mapping.
