Two days virtual training on “Use of Agro-climatic Atlas in Land Suitability Studies and Land Use Planning” under FOstering Climate resilient Upland farming Systems in the northeast (FOCUS)- Nagaland Project with financial assistance from Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)- India was organized for the officers of Society of Climate Resilient Agriculture in Nagaland (SoCRAN) during February 09-10, 2022 (Hybrid mode). The programme was organized in collaboration with Nagaland GIS and Remote Sensing Centre (NGISRSC). 23 participants attended the training programme.
Dr. Jonali Goswami and Dr. Chandan Goswami, from NESAC delivered the online lectures. Kum. Iaphilariker Nongrum and Kum. Nasreen Rasid conducted the hands on session. The online lectures were attended from respective work place of the officers. However, the hands on sessions were conducted in the GIS laboratory of NGISRSC. Dr. Supong Temjen and Shri Samuel Thong assisted the officers from SoCRAN during the hands on session.
