A joint Mock Drill was conducted at NESAC on 25th June, 2026 by CISF Unit of NESAC in collaboration with NDRF 1st Battalion, Guwahati, SDRF, Meghalaya Fire & Emergency Services, Umiam, and Meghalaya Police. NESAC Centre Safety Committee (CSC) coordinated the Mock Drill on Emergency Response & Evacuation drill to demonstrate emergency evacuation procedures & functional modalities to NESAC Staff. A Fire Emergency was simulated and rescue evacuation was undertaken by Meghalaya Police, Fire & Emergency Services, SDRF & NDRF in order of escalation & response. All the participating agencies worked in coordination under the commands of Incident Commander Shri Prakash Tewari, Incident Commander, AC, CISF Unit, NESAC and exhibited their sophisticated evacuation capabilities. Basic firefighting & life saving techniques like use of Fire Extinguisher, Use of CPR were demonstrated by staff of NDRF. It was very informative and well accepted by NESAC staff.
